Climate

Andorra la Vella is located in the south west of Andorra, at 42°30′N, 1°30′E, at the confluence of two mountain streams. Located at an Altitude of 1409 m, it is a high capital and popular ski resort. Its climate is Temperate with cold winters and warm, drier summers. Temperatures range from an average of around -1 °C in January and 20 °C in July; rainfall is at 808 mm a year.
 

Transportation:

Surprisingly for a capital city, it is three hours drive from the nearest airports, at Toulouse, Girona, Perpignan and Barcelona. This is a result of its small population size and highly mountainous terrain. It has no train station either, with a bus service linking the city to the French station at L'Hospitalet, which has mainline services to Paris.

Culture:

The official and historic language is Catalan. Other languages stemming from the immigration such as Spanish and French are also commonly spoken. Portuguese is also noticeable.
Andorra's long history has provided it with a rich folklore and an abundance of folk tales, with roots originating as far as Andalusia in the south and the Netherlands in the north.
Andorran culture is Catalan in essence. It has given a significant and easily identifiable contribution to the conglomerate of Catalan culture. Two writers renowned in Catalonia and the region, Michèle Gazier and Ramon Villeró, both come from Andorra.

Andorra is home to folk dances like the contrapàs and marratxa, which survive in Sant Julià de Lòria especially. Andorran folk music has similarities to all of its neighbors, but is especially Catalan in character, especially in the presence of dances like the sardana. Other Andorran folk dances include contrapàs in Andorra la Vella and Saint Anne's dance in Escaldes-Engordany.

Andorra's national holiday is Our Lady of Meritxell Day, September 8.

The city's old town is characterized by old stone streets and houses. The central Església de Sant Esteve (Saint Stephen) church is part of the area that guidebooks often label as a picturesque part of the city. This was built in a Romanesque style in the Eleventh Century. As mentioned earlier, the old town also includes the country's historic parliament building. Probably the oldest building in the city is another church, dating from the Ninth Century, of Santa Coloma.

The city is the country's cultural centre, with the Government Exhibition Hall acting as a main theatre and museum. The piazza outside the parliament building is also the location of a number of events, and the town hosts a music festival every winter.

Información sobre Andorra

 

Clima:

Andorra cuenta con un clima mediterráneo de alta montaña en el que las temperaturas en invierno son frías y en verano son suaves. Se producen variaciones en el clima dependiendo de la altitud y la orientación. El principado tiene un porcentaje muy alto de días soleados y el clima es seco. La media de las mínimas anuales es de – 2ºC y la de las máximas es de 24ºC. Al atardecer es cuando hay más precipitaciones salvo en invierno que son, sobre todo, de noche.

Cultura:

Los escritores Michèle Gazier y Ramon Villeró, son originarios de Andorra. Además, Ricard Fiter, famoso escritor, no sólo proviene de Andorra, sino que también se desempeña como el ombudsman del principado. La tradición de la escritura en Andorra data más allá del siglo XX; Antoni Fiter i Rossell, de la parroquia de Ordino, escribió un libro de historia sobre su tierra llamado Digest manual de las valls neutras de Andorra en 1748, describiendo el histórico y legal aparato feudal de Andorra.

En la música, Andorra cuenta con una orquesta de cámara dirigida por el violinista Gérard Claret; y que llevan a cabo un certamen de canto de fama internacional. Andorra participa en el Festival de la Canción de Eurovisión siendo su primera vez en 2004.

El evento más importante en la vida cultural de Andorra, es el festival internacional de jazz de Escaldes-Engordany, donde intérpretes como Miles Davis, Fats Domino y B.B. King han participado.

Geografía e Hidrografía:

La superficie de Andorra, englobada en la Península Ibérica, es de 468 km², siendo un país montañoso, con 65 picos de más de 2.500 m de altitud. La montaña más alta es el pico de Comapedrosa con 2.946 m, está situado en la Cordillera de los Pirineos, enclavado entre la frontera de España y Francia. Es una región de escarpados picos montañosos y estrechos valles por donde fluyen numerosos cursos de agua que se unen para formar el río Valira. Hay grandes extensiones boscosas de pinos y abedules debido al clima mediterráneo de alta montaña del que goza el principado.

Este pequeño principado se caracteriza por sus cumbres de materiales paleozoicos, que se elevan por encima de los 2.600 m y culminan a 2946 m cerca del Pla de l'Estany en la frontera hispano-francesa del noroeste. La actividad humana se centra en el valle transversal noreste-suroeste, que a partir del Puerto de Envalira (2407 m) desciende hasta los 840 m, cuando el río Valira entra en España.

El río principal del país es el Valira, que nace en la propia Andorra y la atraviesa de norte a sur. Tiene la forma de una “Y”. Los brazos superiores estarían representados por sus dos afluentes más importantes; el Valira del Nord y el Valira d’Orient. Ambos se unen en la población de Escaldes-Engordany, a partir de la cual el río toma el nombre de Gran Valira. Este desemboca en el Segre que a su vez desemboca en el Ebro.

Info über Andorra

 

Geographie:

Mehr als ein Drittel Andorras liegt oberhalb der Waldgrenze. In den Lagen darunter wechseln meist Kiefernwälder mit Wiesen und Weiden einander ab. Das Land ist sehr gebirgig. 65 Berggipfel übersteigen die 2000-Meter-Grenze. Der höchste Berg ist der Coma Pedrosa mit 2946 Metern. Der niedrigste Punkt ist 840 Meter hoch und liegt bei Sant Julià de Lòria an der spanischen Grenze. Die Grenze zu Frankreich hat eine Länge von 56,6 km und die zu Spanien 63,7 km.

Zwei Arme des Flusses Valira, der Valira del Nord und der Valira d’Orient, vereinigen sich etwa in der Mitte des Landes zum Valira, der nach Spanien weiterfließt. Der Valira liefert durch Wasserkraftwerke am Fluss einen Teil der Energie des Landes. Weitere wichtige Flüsse sind der Arinsal und der Riu Madríu.

Klima:

Aufgrund seiner Lage herrscht in Andorra ein relativ kühles Gebirgsklima vor. Im Januar liegen die Temperaturen im Mittel bei -7 °C, im Sommer klettert das Thermometer auf 26 °C. In Andorra gibt es auf Grund der Hochtäler, die von hohen Felsgebirgen umgeben sind, feuchte und kühle Sommer und wiederum milde Winter.

Sant Marti de la Cortinada, Ordino, AndorraDer überwiegende Teil der Einwohner Andorras spricht die Amtssprache Katalanisch (58 %), Spanisch wird von 35 % gesprochen und Französisch von 20 %.

Sport:

Neben Wintersport, vor allem Ski Alpin und Skilanglauf, gibt es praktisch zwei Nationalsportarten. Die eine ist Rugby und die andere Rollhockey, in dem Andorra jahrelang zur Weltspitze zählte. Das Nationalstadion für Fußball Estadio Comunal befindet sich in Andorra la Vella.

Flora und Fauna:

GämseDie untersten Lagen werden mediterran beeinflusst, so dass sie von immergrünen Eichenbeständen und wechselnden Öd- und Heideland gekennzeichnet sind. Danach folgt eine Zone der Eichen- und Pinienwälder, und in Schattenlagen gedeihen Tannen. In der subalpinen Zone zwischen 1600 und 2000 Metern herrschen Wälder mit Rotkiefern und Schwarzfichten vor, vereinzelt wachsen hier auch Birken, Buchsbäume, Wacholder und Heidekraut. Oberhalb der Baumgrenze breiten sich alpine Matten aus.

Die Tierwelt gleicht im Wesentlichen der mitteleuropäischen Fauna – Igel, Maulwurf, Eichhörnchen sowie zahlreiche Vogelarten, Füchse, Dachse, Wildschweine und Hasen sind hier zu Hause und werden bejagt. Ein Verwandter des Maulwurfs, der Pyrenäen-Desman, ist an Bachufern zu finden, wenn er im klaren Wasser auf Nahrungssuche geht. In höheren Gebirgslagen findet man Gämsen, Murmeltiere sowie Auerhühner, aber auch der Steinadler, Gänse-, Schmutz- und Bartgeier haben hier ihren Lebensraum.

...mit dem Pkw:

Die kürzeste Strecke bis Montelimar dann Orange hängt von ihrem Abfahrtsort ab. Bei Orange teilt sich die Autobahn A7-E15 (Autoroute de Soleil)

Sie fahren auf der A9-E15( La Longuedocienne) weiter in Richtung Nimes, Montpellier, Narbonne.

Hinter Narbonne teilt sich die Autobahn wieder und sie nehmen die A61-E80(Autoroute des Deux-Mers) in Richtung Carcassonne, Toulouse.

Kurz hinter Carcassonne (Ausfahrt: Carcassonne-West) fahren sie auf der D119 in Richtung Mirepoix, Pamiers.

Wenige Kilometer vor Pamiers geht es auf der N20 weiter nach Foix.

Bei Foix N20 weiter nach Tarascon, Ax-les-Thermes. Andorra (Andorre) ist dann ausgeschildert.

Zwischen Oktober und Mai sollten sie auf jeden Fall Schneeketten dabei haben!

Bei extremen Winterverhältnissen (oder sie befinden sich bereits im Raum Perpignan) gibt es die Alternative, ab Perpignan-Sud die N116 durch Prades, Mont Louis, Bourg Madam und dann die C1313 über La Seu d’Urgell zu benutzen, welche als wintersicher gilt.

 

Sehenswert (je nach Strecke) sind auf jeden Fall Carcassonne (La Cité) und Villefranche de Conflent.(im Ursprung erhaltene mittelalterliche Städte)

Bitte beachten sie, dass sie von Konstanz nach Andorra 10 bis 14 Stunden Fahrzeit haben (ca. 1200 km).

Planen sie bei Bedarf eine Übernachtung ein, zumal die ca. letzten 200 km nur Landstrasse und zum Teil sehr kurvenreich sind.(mindestens 3 Stunden müssen sie dafür vorsehen)

Durch die Schweiz brauchen sie eine Jahresvignette.

Die Autobahnen in Frankreich und Spanien sind auch für Pkw mautpflichtig!

 

...mit der Eisenbahn:

Von Paris nach Toulouse mit dem TGV, von dort nach I’Hospitalet.

Ab I’Hospilatet fahren Busse nach Andorra. Planen sie je nach Ankunftszeit eine Übernachtung ein.

 

...mit dem Bus:

Aus vielen europäischen Städten fahren Busse von EUROLINES nach Barcelona (Sants Estaciò).

Von Barcelona nach Andorra siehe EUROLINES nach Andorra.

 

...mit dem Flugzeug:

Ausser Lufthansa, Iberia, Swissair, Austrian Airlines, Luxair usw., fliegen auch sogenannte Billigflieger Barcelona direkt oder indirekt an. Der Preisunterschied ist meist deutlich, macht sich jedoch nur beim Service bemerkbar.

easyJet von Berlin Schönefeld und AIR BERLIN von vielen Destinationen direkt nach Barcelona sowie die Ryanair nach  Girona (Costa Brava) (drei deutsche Destinationen) oder Reus (nahe Tarragona)(von Frankfurt-Hahn).

Für die direkt Barcelona anfliegenden Gesellschaften gelten die Busfahrpläne nach Andorra von EUROLINES und Novatel. Für Ryanair über Reus (Zubringer nach Barcelona) die von EUROLINES ab Sants Estaciò.

Ryanairkunden über Girona, welche den Zubringer nach Barcelona benutzen kommen ca. 250 m von der U-Bahnstation Tetuan entfernt in Barcelona an. Benutzen dann ein Taxi nach Sants Estació oder fahren mit der U-Bahn (L 2 Richtung Pep Ventura) 2 Stationen bis Sagrada Familia, steigen dort in die L 5 Richtung  Cornelià um und sind dann 5 Stationen später in Sants Estació (direkt neben dem Bahnhof befindet sich der Busterminal).

 

...mit dem Leihwagen vom Flughafen:

AVIS und Hertz sind an jedem Flughafen vertreten. Prüfen sie bitte selbst ob eine Buchung von zu Hause aus günstiger für sie ist.

Fahrtroute von Reus oder Barcelona: in Barcelona immer Richtung  Tunels de Vallvidera weiter Richtung Tunel del Cadí, Terrassa, Manresa, Berga, Martinet, La Seu d’Urgell, Andorra.

Von Girona aus: Über Vic Richtung Lleida, bei Manresa Richtung Tunnels de Cadi, Berga und über La Seu d´Urgell nach Andorra.

 

Beachten sie bitte: Bei Ankunft mit dem Bus, Flieger oder Zug (in L´Hospitalet) nach 19.00 Uhr müssen sie immer eine Übernachtung einplanen, wenn sie keinen Mietwagen, ein Taxi nehmen oder abgeholt werden.

Das Gleiche gilt bei einem Abfahrts-, Abflugtermin vor 10.00 Uhr. bei der Heimreise.

Géographie et climat:

En raison de sa localisation dans le massif des Pyrénées orientales, l'Andorre est constituée principalement de montagnes élevées d'une hauteur moyenne de 1 997 m dont le point le plus élevé est la Coma Pedrosa à 2 946 m. Le territoire est divisé en trois vallées étroites en forme de Y qui se regroupent en une seule suivant le courant principal, la rivière Valira, coulant vers la Catalogne espagnole (au point le plus bas de l'Andorre qui est à 870 m). La superficie de l'Andorre est de 468 km2.

Le climat de l'Andorre est similaire au climat tempéré de ses voisins, mais sa haute altitude signifie qu'il y a en moyenne plus de neige en hiver et qu'il fait légèrement plus frais en été.

La route qui mène de la France (Midi-Pyrénées et Languedoc-Roussillon) à la capitale (Andorre-la-Vieille) passe par le port d'Envalira (2 409 m) qui est le plus haut col routier des Pyrénées (mais aussi le plus haut d'Europe maintenu ouvert toute l'année). Ce col est doublé d'un tunnel, ouvert à la circulation depuis le 29 septembre 2002.

Geografia e clima:

Condizendo com a sua localização no leste da cordilheira dos Pirenéus, Andorra consiste predominantemente de montanhas escarpadas com uma altitude média de 1 996 m e a mais elevada, Coma Pedrosa, a atingir 2 946 m. As montanhas são separadas por três vales estreitos em forma de Y, que se combinam num único, por onde o principal curso de água, o Rio Valira, sai do país e entra na Espanha, no ponto mais baixo de Andorra, aos 840 m de altitude. Com uma altitude média entre 1 900 e 2 000 metros, Andorra é o segundo país mais alto da Europa, depois da Suíça.

O clima de Andorra é semelhante ao clima temperado dos vizinhos, mas a sua altitude mais elevada significa que há, em média, mais neve no inverno e que é um pouco mais frio no verão. Três ou quatro nevadas fortes caem todos os anos. No inverno a temperatura de Escaldes fica entre -1 a -7ºC; já no verão as temperaturas podem alcançar de 21 a 27ºC.

Cultura:
A cultura, a língua e a tradição de Andorra são catalães. A Constituição de Andorra define o catalão com a língua oficial do estado. Outras línguas que se falam no território são provenientes da imigração, por ordem, são essas: castelhano, o português e o francês.

Desde Espanha, acede-se pela estrada C-145 desde Lleida e pela estrada C-16 desde o túnel del Cadi ou de Puigcerdà. A Seu d'Urgell está apenas a 30 km. do primeiro acesso ao domínio: Encamp. Desde França, acede-se pela estrada N-22 atravessando a fronteira do Pas de la Casa, primeiro acesso ao domínio para quem vem de França. Também existe a possibilidade de passar pelo túnel de Envalira, que vai deixá-lo próximo do acesso de Grau Roig.  As portas de acessos ao domínio situam-se ao longo da estrada CG2.

Clima:

Il clima di Andorra è temperato come quello dei suoi vicini, ma la maggiore altezza fa si che ci sia più neve d'inverno e sia leggermente più fresco d'estate.

La festa patronale è il 24 giugno, la festa major è la prima domenica di agosto.

Casa de la Vall (Parlamento e Palazzo di Giustizia).
Era stata costruita come casa familiare nel 1580, poi venne comprata dal Concilio Generale nel 1702 ed ora è sede del Parlamento. Si trova nel cuore della città e la sua architettura contiene elementi sia militari che civili. All'interno si trova un interessante armedietto con sette serrature che ha conservato i più importanti documenti nazionali. L'armadio può essere aperto solo dalla presenza simultanea delle sette chiavi tenute dai consiglieri (uno per ogni parrocchia in cui è diviso il principato). C'è anche un dormitorio e una cucina risalenti al 16° secolo.

Chiesa di Santa Coloma
La chiesa di Santa Coloma è una delle più antiche di Andorra. Originariamente fu costruita in stile pre-romanico, ma poi ha subito diversi rifacimenti tra cui il campanile del XII sec. e il portico del XVIII sec. La chiesa conserva importanti documenti artistici tra cui un'icona lignea del XII sec. rappresentante la Madonna della Misericordia. Sfortunatamente gli splendidi affreschi romanici attualmente si trovano al Museo Culturale Prussiano di Berlino.

La Caldea è una delle più ampie strutture termali europee, con un'architettura futuristica nel cuore dei Pirenei. Ci sono 6000 mq di saune, piscine, e vasche sia interne che esterne.

Население Андорры составляет 84.129 человек (30 сентября 2008 г., по данным учёта паррокий). Население столицы — около 24 тысяч человек.

Менее трети всего населения (11 тыс. человек) составляют коренные андоррцы, потомки каталонских крестьян, заселивших в древности горные долины. Кроме того, в Андорре проживают 25 тысяч испанцев, 4 тысячи французов, португальцы и др. Официальный язык — каталанский, на котором говорит треть населения. Распространены также французский и испанский (кастильский диалект) языки. Большинство верующих (99 %) — католики.

Транспорт

Протяженность дорожной сети Андорры составляет 279 км, из которых 76 км не имеют твердого покрытия. Две основные дороги, выходящие из Андорры-ла-Велья, — CG-1, ведущая к границе с Испанией, и CG-2, ведущая к границе с Францией через тоннель Энвалира около Пас-де-ла-Каса.Зимой основные дороги в Андорре обычно быстро очищаются от снега и остаются доступными, однако основная дорога из Андорры по территории Франции (RN-20/22) менее часто чистится и иногда закрывается из-за лавинной опасности.Другие основные дороги из Андорры-ла-Велья (CG-3 и CG-4) ведут в Аркалис и Пал соответственно.

Автобусное сообщение связывает все городские районы и многие деревни.
Частота движения по большинству основных маршрутов в часы пик доходит до получаса и менее. Часто курсируют автобусы из Андорры в Барселону и аэропорт Барселоны, а также в Тулузу и аэропорт Тулузы. До каждого из этих пунктов можно доехать приблизительно за 3 часа. Есть также маршруты до аэропорта Жироны и до Португалии через Лериду. Автобусные перевозки в основном осуществляются частными компаниями, но некоторые местные линии обслуживаются Правительством. Частные автобусные
компании: Autocars Nadal, Camino Bus, Cooperativa Interurbana Andorrana, Eurolines, Hispano Andorrana и Novatel.

Ближайшая железнодорожная станция L’Hospitalet-près-l’Andorre находится в 10 км к востоку от Андорры и предоставляет возможность добраться до Тулузы и далее высокоскоростными поездами до Парижа.

Культура Андорры

Официальным и историческим языком является каталанский.
Соответственно, культура Андорры идентична каталанской с некоторой собственной спецификой.

Андорра является родиной таких народных танцев, как «контрапас» и «марратха» (сохранился в Сант-Жулия-де-Лория). Андоррская фольклорная музыка имеет общие с музыкой своих соседей черты, но является каталанской по характеру, что выражается в наличии таких танцев, как сардана. Среди других андоррских народных танцев — «контрапас» в Андорра-ла-Велья и танец святой Анны в Эскальдес-Энгордань.

Национальный праздник Андорры — день Богоматери Меритшелльской, отмечаемый 8 сентября.
